‘Tevyeh Party Express’ Proudly Donates “Gift of Entertainment” To Help Atlanta Jewish Community Celebrate December 25th In Their Own Way

December 25, 2010

Atlanta, GA — While most American families are tucked-in at home, joyfully celebrating Christmas on December 25th , one Jewish community in East Cobb Marietta belonging to the Temple Kol Emeth synagogue celebrates with Chinese food and festive music entertainment from ‘Tevyeh’.

The “Jews & Chinese Food” advertisement reads: “Don’t stand in long lines at the Chinese restaurants…instead, join us for the TKE’s Annual Chinese Dinner!

“Christmas has personally amazed me in that so many people can come together at one time around the world and share their love, warmth, and happiness with their family and community, “said ‘Tevyeh Band’ (www.tevyeh.com) music director and founding member Alex Gorenshteyn.

“With Chanukah already passed and most American businesses closed, we decided to embrace the warm-hearted essence of the holiday season and together with Temple Kol Emeth are proud to donate our time in bringing together a Jewish community with dancing and celebration!”

December 25th, 2010 will mark the third annual celebration that ‘Tevyeh Party Express’ has donated their entertainment services to this event. In addition to performing at private celebrations and functions like Bar and Bat Mitzvahs, Weddings, and Corporate events,  ‘Tevyeh Party Express Entertainment’ is an active member of the greater-Jewish community in Atlanta, donating  their time to different causes in the Orthodox, Conservative, Traditional, and Reform communities including synagogue ground-breaking ceremonies, fundraisers, and holiday celebrations to name a few.

Most recently, ‘Tevyeh’ performed at the East Cobb Hanukkah Lighting Ceremony in association with Chabad of Cobb (www.chabadofcobb.com). In addition, ‘Tevyeh’ was recently invited by the Georgia State University’s ‘Feed Your Senses’ program to perform live at the Rialto Center (www.rialtocenter.org) showcasing Jewish music and roots of Jewish music in today’s Top-40 music culture.

Sam Dratch Bar Mitzvah at the Double-Tree Atlanta NW

Fun was had by all…the kids…the adults…even the weight-staff couldn’t help but dance the night away with Party Express Entertainment.

Sam (the guest of honor) and friends started off with the DJ in the main room with the Party Express Request Line–playing the hottest hits on the radio charts. Then we played a little Sam Dratch trivia, to find out who really knows Sam the best, giving away Dunkin’ Donuts and Bruster’s Ice-cream cards (for the sizzling Atlanta summer). Then it was time for the grand intro!

Party Express corralled the cocktailin’ and schmoozin’ guests onto the grand-ballroom dance floor, where along with the kids we made a human carpet while Sam and his older brother Sam waited outside. To the beat of “I Want To Rock & Roll All Night” and with the smoke filling up the room, the guest of honor and his brother ran in, high-fiving all the guests.

The traditional hora was next filled with chair-lifting, circle-dancing, hand-clapping, and confetti popping fun!

During dinner, an awesome sideshow chronicling the Mitzvah’s life and a special appearance by Uncle Jerry Steinberg  (you may remember him from the Mike Douglas Show).

After dinner, the guests filled the dance-floor for the rest of the evening with all the party anthems, games, and activities under the sun including Cupid Shuffle, Cha-Cha Slide, Hoola-Hoop Contest, Shout and much more. Boy do Bostonians know how to party! Just throw in a little “Dirty Water” by the Standells and the party became an instant “wicked pissah” (in case you’re not from Boston and never been to a Red Sox games this means “very good, awesome”).

Thank you to the Dratch family for including Party Express Entertainment in the celebration of their son’s Bar Mitzvah.
